Come Worship With Us

Whether you are a member of our church or just visiting to learn more about our congregation, we welcome you!  We wanted to take a second and note that, per recommendations from local, state, and federal governments as well as from our synod office, Shepherd of the Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church will not be holding worship at the church building in person on Sunday, March 22, Sunday, March 29, or on any day in April 2020 (including Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday) or May 2020 in an effort to participate in social distancing.  However, we invite you to listen to our church's podcast, The Shepherdcast, on those Sundays where we can't worship in person, as Rev. Scott J. Anderson will be teaming up with Jacob Schandel to deliver his originally-scheduled sermons online!  Please join us through the podcast as we show how the church is far greater than just a building!  Below, you can read about our typical worship service schedule as well as find links to subscribe to our podcast, The Shepherdcast.

Whether you feel like celebrating the beauty of God’s work or you feel as if you need to take time to reflect and find strength, worship is the perfect place for this.  Each week, we hold a Sunday worship service at 9:30 AM.  In addition, we come together on special occasions to celebrate Jesus. The Shepherd of the Valley worship environment offers a blended-format worship service based on both traditional and contemporary worship formats in our church's ADA-compliant, handicap-accessible building. We would like to welcome everyone to join us for worship Sundays at 9:30 AM!

(Speaking of an accessible service, did we mention we have an outreach program that shares our weekly sermon and Bible readings with our congregation's shut-ins?)

Buy Altar Flowers

Altar flower envelopes are available for you to take on the Information Table at the church. Arrangements are priced at $25 as usual, but we are now partnered with Lilyfield Lane in Canton South. Please remember to return your green bowl back to the church after you are done with your arrangement.

Worship Assistants

Worship assistants are listed in the monthly newsletter for our church, Cross Talk.  You can read that here.  If you cannot serve the weekend you are listed for, please contact us ASAP!  You can do that here.

Cannot make it to church to join us this Sunday?  Want to sample a taste of our worship experience?  Check out the Shepherdcast!  Every week, our church publishes its weekly sermon and Bible readings in an audio podcast for free.  So, you can listen to our sermon wherever you are.  You can subscribe to the Shepherdcast wherever you get your podcasts.  For more information on the Shepherdcast, please visit www.sotvchurch.com/shepherdcast.
